Discovering Emotions Course was a huge success!

My 6 week Discovering Emotions and Confidence Program run with The Therapy Place finished up on Wednesday night. I loved seeing how all the kids started out a bit shy at first but by week 6, they had all made new friends, learned about their emotions and self-acceptance and made dreamcatchers, kindness rocks, calming scents and decorated happy cookies. And the feedback from the parents has been amazing.

“After thanking you in person for such a wonderful program I also wanted to send you a message. A big big thank you for making such an inspiring and wonderful program. The discovering emotions and confidence course was exactly what my 12yr old son needed. (Being a Special Needs Education Assistant at a mainstream school I honesty think ALL children would benefit from this program!) My son looked forward to every fun session and was disappointed that it was ending. You have made such an impact on his positive mind set and he also made some wonderful friends in the process. We will continue to use the videos you have also provided. He felt so happy in the space you provided and finally felt heard and validated for being the amazing person he is! So again thank you!”

Your course was amazing! My son has a lot of trouble identifying and understanding emotions, but he has learnt so much through your group sessions. Keep going! You are helping so many young people to grow up more resilient

Even more telling is that the kids didn’t want to course to end! A follow up social group is the planning stages.

Big thanks to Heidi, Jake, Jess and Aimee at The Therapy Place WA for making it happen and for the City of Bunbury Library for the venue.

Great news! We’ll be running the course again in Term 4 of 2023. To book your child contact The Therapy Place on 9791 8005
