Volunteer Manager Network Breakfast with Josh Langley
“We are delighted to have Josh Langley, an award winning author, speaker and a passionate mental health advocate, having himself been diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder stemming from childhood trauma, sharing his lived experience with anxiety.
We have had a gradual increase of people with mental health issues, particularly anxiety or depression, signing up to volunteer. Volunteering is a wonderful stepping stone to practice workplace skills and get back into the work groove for many of these volunteers. How do we manage them if we as volunteer managers haven’t experienced anything similar? How to best communicate, how to show understanding and empathy in ways that matter.
This chat by someone who can answer our questions and get us thinking, will be of great benefit and is a wonderful opportunity to discuss our various experiences. Remember, we’re all in this together! “
